Aero Integrated Resort, Incheon, South Korea

Masterplan and Architecture: Concept

CLIENT : Confidential
LOCATION : Incheon, South Korea
TYPE : Integrated Casino and Entertainment Destination
SIZE : 12,000,000 sq.ft / 1,000,000 m2

Located on a site adjacent to the international airport, this bold and dynamic design for a large casino-anchored integrated resort uses an abstraction of aeronautical forms to inform the masterplan, massing and aesthetics. At full build-out this new destination would have two casinos, 2000 hotel keys, a water park, theme park and 700,000sf of retail.

As the resort is designed to serve both the local population and international travellers, we needed to clearly define the different zones and their contrasting offers. The bending forms in plan link the core of the scheme with the adjacent lagoon and water park.
